I LOVE Boston! Don’t know if I could ever live there, but it was amazing walking through the streets, seeing the history, and how the buildings are all repurposed for modern applications. So many old apartments are now schools. Once hotels have become office buildings. Its just amazing to see how the city has grown. I came out for a video job for Touch Performance Art put on by a close friend. Any time I am in a new city, I feel the need to explore, and Boston is amazing at night, especially if it is a little wet and dreary. After an ice cream stop at JP Licks, we made a few beautiful night time portraits of Colin and Marissa.

I loved Diane’s photo shoot. I love scarfs, coats, accessories, and we had it all. It was also great that we were able to go into the evening to get some fun shots with the circle lights in the background, always a favorite! We started at Civic Center Park and bounced around to a few of my favorite spots around downtown denver for these senior pictures.

Nichole and David | Air Force Chapel | Cielo at Castle Pines

Nicole and David are awesome. How awesome? Their love story took first place in a competition winning them the amazing cake from Kelley Kakes. I won’t give the whole story, but it has to do with being from the same little town in Colorado but meeting for the first time in a bar in Italy! I love small world stories, and they have one of the best ones I have ever heard.

David is in the Air Force so they decided to get married at the USAFA Cadet Chapel which was beyond stunning. I personally loved the reception at Cielo at Castle Pines. It complimented everything from the details that showed all the places in the world they had traveled, to the walk down the beautiful spiral staircase after being announced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Auston.

Chandler | Westminster High School Senior Pictures

Chandler is one of the coolest/funniest/quirky kids I know. We had so much fun on our shoot, from jumping off things to laughing at thugs in Volkswagen Bugs. She was also a perfect example that moms and daughters don’t always agree on their favorite photographs. This is where it is great to get the variety of different locations and looks so everyone is blown away. We went down to Union Station for her senior photos. One of my favorite backgrounds in the green wall over on Wewatta St. We also did a behind the scenes video, and you can see it here!

Celeste wore probably my favorite shirt of any senior I shot this year. “Elmo loves you THIS much!” I love it when we get outside the box and throw some real character into these shoots. We went down to beautiful Riverfront park near Millennium bridge to do these photos. Senior pictures are about YOU, and should show not just what you do, but who you are.

Gabriel is the only guy I know who can switch from cool to light hearted as quickly as he did during his high school senior photo shoot. We had a great time shooting in the studio and in Civic Center Park and got some great photos.

Ashley may be shy, but she has one of the greatest smiles I have photographed. We had so much fun out and about downtown Denver. We even got to hang out on one of the Denver Rail Heritage Society Trollies for some of the photos!

Molly and Devin | Denver Wedding Photographer

I would shoot this wedding over and over again every day for weeks if I could. You might remember Molly and Devin’s engagement photos from a few weeks ago. Watching them in the park alone together was amazing, but during the wedding you could really tell how important family is to them from their interactions and hilarious conversations. The wedding was held at Colterra restaurant in Niwot, CO. What an amazing little venue for a wedding. Even though the weather man said to expect rain storms (but seriously, are they ever right?), it stayed bright and sunny the whole day.

P.s. Star Wars action figures for cake figurines rock my socks off.

I learned a lot at this wedding. It can be 100 degrees in Austin, TX in early June. Some times, not a single groomsmen will know how to tie a tie, so the Groom has to do all 8 and pass them around. Wedding dresses with crochet needles will be a pain to undo after the wedding. Sometimes, grooms cry at the alter before the bride. Little cake balls are amazing. And hearing “I am so honored to have you as a daughter” can make even me tear up a bit.
