January has been an incredibly busy month for me. The new year always is. Did you make any New Years resolutions? I plan on having one night a week I go dancing to learn some new swing moves, and one night a week to cook with friends so I can expand my skills to more than simply peanut butter toast, easy mac, and pancakes. I went to San Antonio for the Digital Wedding Forum Convention and met with some truly inspiring photographers. I came back to Denver to go to another short workshop before heading BACK to Texas for my cousins wedding. To me, family always comes first. It doesn’t matter if you were planning on working, had a vacation planned that week, or just aren’t feeling well. I left my workshop early to be there to support my cousin Megan in her next big step in life. Being a wedding photographer and being around weddings so often has helped me realize how important these days are, and I wouldn’t miss it for anything.
I always try to be a guest at family weddings so I can enjoy myself and be part of the group, but that doesn’t stop me from bringing my camera! It was such a beautiful ceremony with so many happy emotions. Nothing makes me happier than taking pictures of the people I love.
